I thought I would get back into blogging with some easy-to-post pictures.
These photos were taken by my wife, actually. She got up earlier than I one morning when we were camping at Anini Beach Park back in April.

Hi Andy,
Great shots! I stayed here on my first trip to the island and it was perfect. I rented a car bought a tent at Kmart as an option to a resort and had the best time ever. Always got back in time for sunset meal making and enjoyed being awakened by the sunrise. I went in May and the park was quite peaceful Had heard that Salt Pond was not so sweet a place to stay due to local problems. Would like to return to Anini sometime, was it peaceful when you were there?

Hi Mark, we camped exclusively on our first trip (and many others) to Kaua’i. I don’t know when you were here, but both Anini and Salt Pond have good reputations, at least for the past 5 years that I’ve been going. I haven’t been camping at Salt Pond for over a year, but haven’t heard of any problems.
If anything, Anini is the least peaceful of the two if you happen to go on a summer weekend, especially a holiday weekend. There are large family groups and young adult groups who can make some noise. Though if you are near the ocean, you probably won’t hear them.
