Way Backcountry Waterfall

I don’t know what it is right now, but Kaua’i is sending me lots of waterfalls.

This one is from a friend who likes to hike off-trail. It is so remote, I didn’t even know where it was. From the picture, I’d estimate it at over 100 feet high.

I like the mix of bare rock and vegetation, it’s rather distinctive—but I shouldn’t say that since I haven’t been there myself. There’s something about the combination of rock, the tree growing out of the wall, and probably the low December sun that almost makes this look like the mainland. I suppose the photographer was lucky to get such nice weather just before Christmas.
